Hero Siege Season 10 rewards ranged players who pay attention to where enemies gather, not just their damage numbers. Before spending Hero Siege Gold on another upgrade, test whether your farming route gives Monsoon's Ricochet enough nearby targets to make a noticeable difference.

Patch 7.0.7 expanded Monsoon's Ricochet to all ranged projectiles and optimized damage-over-time modifier handling when projectiles carrying those effects hit monsters. These are separate improvements: broader Ricochet support creates more opportunities for bouncing, while the DOT adjustment improves damage handling. Neither guarantees equally faster clears across every encounter.
Choose Routes That Keep Targets Together

For practical testing, start with compact rooms, narrow passages, and formations where several enemies occupy the same stretch of ground. The useful question is whether your opening shots can reach additional targets without forcing you to reposition constantly.

Try approaching packs from one side rather than running directly through them. Let advancing enemies gather into a tighter formation, then fire across that formation. Treat this as a positioning experiment, not a reason to absorb dangerous hits while waiting for perfect density.

Narrow terrain is worth testing because it can simplify your firing angle, but do not assume walls themselves provide extra rebounds. Watch the projectiles and enemy health bars. If nearby targets take damage after the initial impact, that section deserves another timed run.

Match Projectile Frequency to Your Actual Skill

Test attacks that release projectiles frequently, especially when enemies remain grouped through several volleys. Compare how many firing cycles each pack requires rather than judging effectiveness from the busiest-looking screen. More visual activity is not proof of better farming.

Attack speed deserves attention when it increases the firing frequency of the skill you actually use. Compare small equipment changes on the same route, keeping difficulty and other conditions consistent. If resource shortages interrupt your attacks, prioritize sustainable firing over a higher displayed speed.

For projectile DOT setups, check how reliably packs finish dying after your opening sequence. The patch confirms improved modifier handling, but it does not establish unlimited stacking or identical behavior for every effect. Avoid building your rotation around assumptions the notes do not support.

Measure the Benefit Where It Matters

Scattered enemies and isolated bosses are useful comparison cases. With few nearby targets available, there is less opportunity to gain value from bouncing between enemies. Test those encounters separately rather than letting a strong dense-pack result define your entire build.

Time several complete runs, including travel, cleanup, and recovery. Look for fewer leftover enemies and less backtracking. If one impressive pack disappears quickly but the overall route barely improves, adjust your route before committing more resources.

Build around repeatable density, controlled positioning, and sustainable projectile output; if you consider cheap Hero Siege Gold for equipment changes, let measured clear-speed gains guide those decisions rather than assuming Ricochet improves every fight.
